What Polar (BYOK) is for
Polar (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Polar data through the Polar API with a key you supply (organization access token (read scopes only)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_organizations, list_products, list_subscriptions, list_orders, get_order, list_refunds, list_customers, get_metrics, list_meters). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.polar.sh. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Polar. Polar and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Polar organization does this token belong to?"
- "What products and subscription tiers do we sell on Polar?"
- "Which Polar subscriptions are active, and which will cancel at period end?"
- "What orders did Polar record this month?"
- "Show details of Polar order ord_1."
- "Which refunds have been issued on Polar?"
What it does
list_organizations: List the organizations the token can see: name, slug, status, country and default currency.list_products: List products with name, billing interval, recurring or one-time, archived flag and creation time. Needs the products:read scope.list_subscriptions: List subscriptions with status, amount in cents, interval, current period end, cancel-at-period-end flag and cancellation reason. Needs subscriptions:read.list_orders: List orders (one-time purchases and subscription invoices) with status, amounts in cents, tax, refunds, invoice number and ids. Needs orders:read.get_order: Get one order by id with status, amounts in cents, tax, refunds, invoice number and linked ids.list_refunds: List refunds with status, reason, amount in cents and the order and customer ids. Needs refunds:read.list_customers: List customers with name, email, type, external id and creation time. Needs customers:read.get_metrics: Revenue and subscription metrics per period in a date range: orders, revenue, net revenue (cents), MRR, ARR, active subscriptions, churn rate. Needs metrics:read.list_meters: List usage meters (name, unit, aggregation function, archived time) used for usage-based billing. Needs meters:read.
BYOK key
You bring your own Polar organization access token (read scopes only) (https://polar.sh/docs/integrate/oat). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.polar.sh over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Data sources
- https://polar.sh/docs/api-reference (the API this connector calls, with a BYOK key)
Live from the Polar API (api.polar.sh) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://polar.sh/docs/api-reference. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
