What Porkbun (BYOK) is for

Porkbun (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Porkbun data through the Porkbun API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 9 tools (check_credentials, list_domains, get_domain, get_nameservers, list_dns_records, get_dns_record, list_url_forwards, list_email_forwards, list_domain_transfers). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.porkbun.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Porkbun. Porkbun and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Is my Porkbun API key valid and what scopes does it have?"
  • "Which of my Porkbun domains expire in the next 60 days?"
  • "When does example.com expire and is auto-renew on?"
  • "Which nameservers does example.com use at Porkbun?"
  • "Show the DNS records of example.com"
  • "Show DNS record 106926659 of example.com"

What it does

  • check_credentials: Check that the key pair is valid and show the caller IP address and the permission scopes of the key. Changes nothing.
  • list_domains: List the domains in the account with expiry date, auto-renew, WHOIS privacy and registrar lock flags. Returns up to 1000 domains per call; use start to page.
  • get_domain: Get one domain of the account: status, creation and expiry dates, registrar lock, WHOIS privacy and auto-renew flags.
  • get_nameservers: List the authoritative nameservers set for a domain.
  • list_dns_records: List all DNS records of a domain hosted on Porkbun with id, name, type, content, TTL, priority and notes.
  • get_dns_record: Get one DNS record of a domain by its record id (ids come from list_dns_records).
  • list_url_forwards: List the URL forwarding rules of a domain with subdomain, target, redirect type and wildcard flags.
  • list_email_forwards: List the email forwarding addresses of a domain with target address, creation time and the plan limit.
  • list_domain_transfers: List active inbound domain transfers (completed and cancelled ones are not included) with status and transfer date.

BYOK key

You bring your own Porkbun API key (https://porkbun.com/account/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.porkbun.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Porkbun API (api.porkbun.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://porkbun.com/api/json/v3/documentation. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Porkbun. Porkbun and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Porkbun account.
