What PostHog Audiences and Actions (BYOK) is for
PostHog Audiences and Actions (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own PostHog Audiences and Actions data through the PostHog Audiences and Actions API with a key you supply (personal API key (with cohort:read, action:read and annotation:read scopes)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_cohorts, get_cohort, get_cohort_usage, list_actions, get_action, list_annotations, get_annotation). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to us.posthog.com, eu.posthog.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by PostHog Audiences and Actions. PostHog Audiences and Actions and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which cohorts exist in my PostHog project?"
- "Show the definition of PostHog cohort 5"
- "What depends on PostHog cohort 5?"
- "Which actions are defined in my PostHog project?"
- "What does PostHog action 3 match?"
- "What annotations are on my PostHog charts?"
What it does
list_cohorts: List the cohorts (saved groups of users) of a project with name, size, static flag and last calculation time; members are not returned.get_cohort: Get one cohort with its name, description, size, calculation state and filter definition; members are not returned.get_cohort_usage: Show where a cohort is used: the feature flags, insights, other cohorts and workflows that depend on it.list_actions: List the actions (named groups of events and clicks) of a project with name, tags, Slack posting flag and last calculation time.get_action: Get one action with its name, tags and the steps (event, selector, text, URL matching) that define it.list_annotations: List the annotations (notes marking dates such as a release) of a project with text, date, scope and linked dashboard or insight; authors are left out.get_annotation: Get one annotation with its text, date marker, scope and linked dashboard or insight.
BYOK key
You bring your own PostHog Audiences and Actions personal API key (with cohort:read, action:read and annotation:read scopes) (https://us.posthog.com/settings/user-api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to us.posthog.com, eu.posthog.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
