What PostHog Pipelines (BYOK) is for
PostHog Pipelines (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own PostHog Pipelines data through the PostHog Pipelines API with a key you supply (personal API key (with batch_export:read, hog_function:read and alert:read scopes)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_batch_exports, get_batch_export, list_batch_export_runs, list_batch_export_backfills, list_pipeline_functions, get_pipeline_function, list_insight_alerts, get_insight_alert). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to us.posthog.com, eu.posthog.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by PostHog Pipelines. PostHog Pipelines and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which PostHog batch exports are set up and are any paused?"
- "Show the settings of PostHog batch export 0197e1aa"
- "Did last night's PostHog batch export run succeed?"
- "Has PostHog batch export 0197e1aa been backfilled?"
- "Which PostHog pipeline destinations are enabled?"
- "Show PostHog pipeline function 0197f1"
What it does
list_batch_exports: List the batch exports (scheduled copies of PostHog data to a warehouse or storage) with name, data model, destination type, interval and paused state. Destination settings are left out.get_batch_export: Get one batch export with its data model, destination type, interval, schedule window and paused state. Destination settings are left out.list_batch_export_runs: List recent runs of a batch export with status, time window, records and bytes exported and the latest error. Defaults to the last 7 days.list_batch_export_backfills: List the backfills (historical re-exports) of a batch export with status, range, progress and record count.list_pipeline_functions: List the data pipeline functions (destinations, transformations and sources that run Hog code) with type, name, enabled state and dates. The code and input settings are left out.get_pipeline_function: Get one data pipeline function with its type, name, description, enabled state and dates. Code and input settings are left out.list_insight_alerts: List the alerts set on insights with the insight name, state (Firing, Not firing, Errored, Snoozed), enabled flag, last check and last value; subscribers are left out.get_insight_alert: Get one insight alert with its condition, threshold, check interval, state and last value.
BYOK key
You bring your own PostHog Pipelines personal API key (with batch_export:read, hog_function:read and alert:read scopes) (https://us.posthog.com/settings/user-api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to us.posthog.com, eu.posthog.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
