What Postman (BYOK) is for

Postman (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Postman data through the Postman API with a key you supply (Postman API key). Read-only: 8 tools (get_me, list_workspaces, get_workspace, list_collections, list_environments, list_monitors, get_monitor, list_mock_servers). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.postman.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Postman. Postman and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Postman account is my API key for and how much of my plan have I used?"
  • "What Postman workspaces do I have?"
  • "What collections and monitors are in my Postman workspace?"
  • "What Postman collections do I have?"
  • "Which Postman environments do I have?"
  • "Which Postman monitors are active?"

What it does

  • get_me: Show the Postman user the key belongs to (username, name, team) and the usage and limits of Postman operations.
  • list_workspaces: List the workspaces you can access with type, visibility, summary and dates, optionally by type or creator.
  • get_workspace: Get one workspace with its description and lists of its collections, environments, mock servers, monitors and specs.
  • list_collections: List the collections you can access (name, id, owner, dates, public flag), optionally in one workspace or by exact name. Rate limit 10 calls per 10 seconds.
  • list_environments: List the environments you can access (name, id, owner, dates). Variable values are not part of this list.
  • list_monitors: List Postman monitors (scheduled collection runs) with name, active flag and linked collection and environment. At most 25 per page.
  • get_monitor: Get one monitor: schedule, next run, last run status and times, retry and notification settings.
  • list_mock_servers: List mock servers with name, mock URL, linked collection, active state and dates, optionally in one workspace.

BYOK key

You bring your own Postman Postman API key (https://go.postman.co/settings/me/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.postman.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Postman API (api.postman.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://learning.postman.com/api-docs/api-reference. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Postman. Postman and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Postman account.
