What PractiTest (BYOK) is for

PractiTest (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own PractiTest data through the PractiTest API with a key you supply (PractiTest API token (personal or account token, US data center)). Read-only: 12 tools (list_projects, list_fields, list_requirements, list_tests, get_test, get_test_run_status_counts, list_steps, list_test_sets, list_instances, list_runs, list_milestones, list_issues). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.practitest.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by PractiTest. PractiTest and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which projects do I have in PractiTest?"
  • "Which custom fields does my PractiTest project have?"
  • "Which requirements in PractiTest project 4566 are failing?"
  • "Which tests in PractiTest project 4566 failed on their last run?"
  • "Show PractiTest test 1850360 in project 4566"
  • "How many tests pass and fail in PractiTest project 4566?"

What it does

  • list_projects: List the PractiTest projects the token can see, with name, creation time and whether automation, issue deletion and time management are on.
  • list_fields: List the system and custom fields of a project with name, format, possible values and the entities they apply to.
  • list_requirements: List the requirements of a project with name, run status, last run, version, priority, folder and times. Custom field values and assignees are not returned.
  • list_tests: List the tests of a project with name, description, step count, status, run status, last run, type, estimated duration, version, priority and times. Custom field values, author and assignee are not returned.
  • get_test: Get one test with name, description, step count, status, run status, last run, type, estimated duration, version and priority.
  • get_test_run_status_counts: Count the tests of a project by last run status (passed, failed, not completed, no run, blocked).
  • list_steps: List the test steps of a project with kind, test, name, description, expected result and position.
  • list_test_sets: List the test sets of a project with name, description, instance count, run status, last run, milestone, estimated and actual duration. Custom field values and assignees are not returned.
  • list_instances: List the instances (a test inside a test set) of a project with name, set, test, run status, last run, last run duration, priority and version.
  • list_runs: List the test runs of a project with status, instance, test, run type, version, duration and times. The output of automated runs and the tester are not returned.
  • list_milestones: List the milestones of a project (sprints, releases) with name, description, status, type, start and end date.
  • list_issues: List the issues of a project with title, run status, last run, version, priority and times. Custom field values and assignees are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own PractiTest PractiTest API token (personal or account token, US data center) (https://www.practitest.com/api-v2/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.practitest.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the PractiTest API (api.practitest.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.practitest.com/api-v2/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by PractiTest. PractiTest and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your PractiTest account.
