What pretix Event Config (BYOK) is for

pretix Event Config (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own pretix Event Config data through the pretix Event Config API with a key you supply (pretix team API token). Read-only: 9 tools (list_categories, list_questions, list_question_options, list_tax_rules, list_discounts, list_item_variations, list_item_bundles, list_item_addons, list_item_meta_properties). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to pretix.eu. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by pretix Event Config. pretix Event Config and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What product categories does the pretix event sampleconf have?"
  • "Which questions does the pretix event sampleconf ask buyers?"
  • "What answer options does question 3 of pretix event sampleconf offer?"
  • "Which tax rules does the pretix event sampleconf use?"
  • "Which automatic discounts does the pretix event sampleconf have?"
  • "What variations does product 1 of pretix event sampleconf have?"

What it does

  • list_categories: List an event's product categories with name, position, whether they hold add-ons and cross-selling settings.
  • list_questions: List the questions asked at checkout or check-in: label, answer type, required flag, assigned product ids and choice options.
  • list_question_options: List the answer options of one choice question (types C or M) with identifier and displayed text.
  • list_tax_rules: List an event's tax rules with name, rate in percent, tax code, whether prices include tax and the default flag.
  • list_discounts: List an event's automatic discount rules: conditions (minimum count or value), benefit percentage, validity window and sales channels.
  • list_item_variations: List the variations of one product (for example sizes or ticket levels) with name, price, active flag, sale window and approval or membership requirements.
  • list_item_bundles: List the bundle configuration of one product: which other product is included, how many and the designated price used for tax splitting.
  • list_item_addons: List the add-on rules of one product: which category add-ons can be chosen from, minimum and maximum number and whether they are free.
  • list_item_meta_properties: List the item meta properties defined for an event (internal key-value fields attached to products) with default and allowed values.

BYOK key

You bring your own pretix Event Config pretix team API token (https://docs.pretix.eu/dev/api/auth.html#obtaining-an-api-token). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to pretix.eu over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the pretix Event Config API (pretix.eu) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.pretix.eu/dev/api/resources/index.html. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
