What PrintNode (BYOK) is for
PrintNode (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own PrintNode data through the PrintNode API with a key you supply (PrintNode API key). Read-only: 11 tools (get_account_summary, list_computers, get_computer, list_printers, get_printer, list_computer_printers, list_print_jobs, list_printer_print_jobs, get_print_job, get_print_job_states, list_scales). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.printnode.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by PrintNode. PrintNode and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "How many computers and prints does my PrintNode account have?"
- "Which of my computers are connected to PrintNode?"
- "Is PrintNode computer 12 connected?"
- "Which printers are online in PrintNode?"
- "What is the state of PrintNode printer 34?"
- "Which printers are attached to PrintNode computer 12?"
What it does
get_account_summary: Show the PrintNode account the key belongs to: account id, state, number of computers, total prints, remaining credits and permissions.list_computers: List the computers that run the PrintNode client with name, client version and connection state (connected or disconnected).get_computer: Get one computer by id: name, client version and connection state.list_printers: List all printers known to the account with online state, description and the computer they are attached to.get_printer: Get one printer by id with its state and computer.list_computer_printers: List the printers attached to one computer.list_print_jobs: List recent print jobs (newest first) with state, source, printer and creation time. Job titles and content are not returned.list_printer_print_jobs: List the print jobs sent to one printer, newest first.get_print_job: Get one print job by id with its current state and printer.get_print_job_states: Get the state history of one print job (new, sent to client, done, error, expired) with messages and timestamps.list_scales: List the weighing scales attached to a computer with their latest reading (mass in micrograms, measurement units) and the age of the data. Readings are kept for 45 seconds.
BYOK key
You bring your own PrintNode PrintNode API key (https://app.printnode.com/app/apikeys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.printnode.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
