What Productive Finance (BYOK) is for

Productive Finance (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Productive Finance data through the Productive Finance API with a key you supply (API token). Read-only: 6 tools (list_expenses, list_payments, list_purchase_orders, list_tax_rates, list_subsidiaries, list_services). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.productive.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Productive Finance. Productive Finance and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What expenses were booked in Productive last month?"
  • "Which customer payments came in during September in Productive?"
  • "Which purchase orders are open in Productive?"
  • "What tax rates are set up in Productive?"
  • "Which subsidiaries does our Productive account have?"
  • "How much of each service budget has been used in Productive?"

What it does

  • list_expenses: List expenses with name, date, amount, currency, billable amount, invoiced, draft and reimbursable flags and payment dates; filter by date range, company, service or deal. Money amounts are integers as returned by Productive.
  • list_payments: List invoice payments with amount, currency and date paid; filter by date range, invoice, project, company or subsidiary. Money amounts are integers as returned by Productive.
  • list_purchase_orders: List purchase orders with number, subject, currency, total cost, status ids and issue, delivery and receipt dates; filter by project, deal or text. Money amounts are integers as returned by Productive.
  • list_tax_rates: List the organization's tax rates with name, components and archive time. Money amounts are integers as returned by Productive.
  • list_subsidiaries: List subsidiaries (legal entities) with name, invoice numbering format and archive time. Money amounts are integers as returned by Productive.
  • list_services: List services (budget lines) with name, billable flag, estimated, worked and booked time in minutes, price, revenue, budget total and budget used. Money amounts are integers as returned by Productive.

BYOK key

You bring your own Productive Finance API token (https://developer.productive.io/llms.txt). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.productive.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Productive Finance API (api.productive.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.productive.io/llms.txt. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Productive Finance. Productive Finance and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Productive Finance account.
