What Productive (BYOK) is for

Productive (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Productive data through the Productive API with a key you supply (API token). Read-only: 9 tools (list_projects, list_tasks, list_time_entries, list_people, list_companies, list_deals, list_invoices, list_pages, list_boards). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.productive.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Productive. Productive and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What active projects do we have in Productive?"
  • "Which Productive tasks are open and assigned to person 123?"
  • "How much time did person 123 track in Productive last week?"
  • "Who is on my Productive team?"
  • "Who are my clients in Productive?"
  • "What deals are open in Productive?"

What it does

  • list_projects: List projects with name, number, creation and last activity time and archive time; filter by status, name search or company. Status 1 is active, 2 is archived.
  • list_tasks: List tasks with title, task number, due date, estimates and tracked time in minutes, and open or closed state; filter by project, assignee, status or text.
  • list_time_entries: List time entries with date, minutes tracked, billable minutes, note and invoiced flag; filter by person, project, task or dates.
  • list_people: List people with name, job title, join date, last seen time and deactivation time. Status 1 is active, 2 is deactivated.
  • list_companies: List companies (clients) with name, domain, default currency, company code and archive time.
  • list_deals: List deals and budgets with name, number, date, probability, value, currency and close time; filter by company, project or text.
  • list_invoices: List invoices with number, subject, amounts, unpaid amount, currency and key dates; filter by company, project or text.
  • list_pages: List docs pages with title, parent page, version number, public flag and times (the page body is not included).
  • list_boards: List task boards with name, position and archive time.

BYOK key

You bring your own Productive API token (https://developer.productive.io/llms.txt). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.productive.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Productive API (api.productive.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.productive.io/llms.txt. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Productive. Productive and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Productive account.
