What ProductPlan (BYOK) is for
ProductPlan (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ProductPlan data through the ProductPlan API with a key you supply (ProductPlan API token). Read-only: 12 tools (list_roadmaps, get_roadmap, list_roadmap_bars, list_roadmap_lanes, list_roadmap_milestones, list_ideas, list_opportunities, list_objectives, list_key_results, list_launches, list_launch_tasks, list_teams). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.productplan.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ProductPlan. ProductPlan and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which ProductPlan roadmaps do I have?"
- "Show me the details of ProductPlan roadmap 1"
- "What bars are on ProductPlan roadmap 1 and how far along are they?"
- "What lanes does ProductPlan roadmap 1 have?"
- "What milestones are on ProductPlan roadmap 1?"
- "What ideas have been submitted in ProductPlan?"
What it does
list_roadmaps: List the roadmaps the token's user can see, with name, permission, version flag, lanes, legends and dates.get_roadmap: Get one roadmap with its owner name, permission, lanes, legends and custom field labels.list_roadmap_bars: List the bars (planned work items) of a roadmap with dates, lane, legend, percent done, tags and parked flag.list_roadmap_lanes: List the lanes (rows) of a roadmap in display order.list_roadmap_milestones: List the milestones of a roadmap with title, date and where they sit.list_ideas: List ideas from the discovery area with channel, customer, tags, linked opportunity count and status.list_opportunities: List discovery opportunities with problem statement, workflow status, location status and linked idea and bar counts.list_objectives: List strategy objectives with risk status, dates and counts of key results, bars and opportunities.list_key_results: List the key results of one objective with start, target, current value and progress.list_launches: List launches with launch date, status, progress and counts of bars, checklist sections and tasks.list_launch_tasks: List the checklist tasks of one launch with status, due date and checklist section.list_teams: List the teams of the account.
BYOK key
You bring your own ProductPlan ProductPlan API token (https://app.productplan.com/integrations/custom). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.productplan.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
