What Recurly Finance Config (BYOK) is for

Recurly Finance Config (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Recurly Finance Config data through the Recurly Finance Config API with a key you supply (Recurly private API key (US data center sites)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_general_ledger_accounts, list_performance_obligations, list_business_entities, list_dunning_campaigns, list_invoice_templates, list_custom_field_definitions, list_export_dates, list_sites). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to v3.recurly.com. What it does

  • list_general_ledger_accounts: List general ledger accounts (liability and revenue) with code, description and type, used for revenue recognition.
  • list_performance_obligations: List performance obligations (revenue recognition groupings) with id, name and dates.
  • list_business_entities: List business entities (the legal sellers on the site) with code, name, VAT and registration numbers, tax address sources, subscriber countries and default ledger accounts.
  • list_dunning_campaigns: List dunning campaigns (the retry and reminder schedules for failed payments) with code, name, whether it is the default, and its cycles.
  • list_invoice_templates: List invoice templates (layouts used when invoicing) with code, name and description.
  • list_custom_field_definitions: List custom field definitions (extra fields on accounts, items, plans, subscriptions or charges) with name, related type and access level. Field values are not returned.
  • list_export_dates: List the dates for which a Recurly data export is available to download. File contents are not fetched.
  • list_sites: List the Recurly sites the key can see with subdomain, mode (development, production or sandbox), enabled features and creation time.

BYOK key

You bring your own Recurly Finance Config Recurly private API key (US data center sites) (https://app.recurly.com/go/developer/api_keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to v3.recurly.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
