What Redis Cloud (BYOK) is for
Redis Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Redis Cloud data through the Redis Cloud API with a key you supply (Redis Cloud account API key (sent as x-api-key)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_account, list_subscriptions, get_subscription, list_databases, list_essentials_subscriptions, list_essentials_databases, list_essentials_plans, list_regions, list_cloud_accounts, list_system_logs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.redislabs.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Redis Cloud. Redis Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Redis Cloud account are my API keys for?"
- "What Redis Cloud Pro subscriptions do I have?"
- "Show Redis Cloud subscription 1206"
- "What databases are in Redis Cloud subscription 1206 and how much memory do they use?"
- "What Redis Cloud Essentials subscriptions do I have and what do they cost?"
- "What databases are in my Redis Cloud Essentials subscription 154714?"
What it does
get_account: Show the Redis Cloud account behind the keys: account id and name, marketplace status and the API key's name and allowed source IPs.list_subscriptions: List Pro subscriptions with name, status, deployment type, memory storage, database count and payment method type.get_subscription: Get one Pro subscription: name, status, memory storage, database count, payment method type and public endpoint access.list_databases: List the databases of a Pro subscription with provider, region, Redis version, status, memory use, persistence, replication and endpoints.list_essentials_subscriptions: List Essentials (fixed-size) subscriptions with plan, size, provider, region, price and database limit.list_essentials_databases: List the databases of an Essentials subscription with provider, region, Redis version, status, memory use and endpoints.list_essentials_plans: List available Essentials plans with size, provider, region, price and limits, optionally for one cloud provider.list_regions: List the cloud regions available for Pro subscriptions, optionally for one provider.list_cloud_accounts: List the cloud provider accounts linked to Redis Cloud with name, provider and status.list_system_logs: List account system logs (who did what to which resource) with time, originator, API key name, resource, type and description.
BYOK key
You bring your own Redis Cloud Redis Cloud account API key (sent as x-api-key) (https://cloud.redis.io/#/account/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.redislabs.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
