What Rentman (BYOK) is for

Rentman (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Rentman data through the Rentman API with a key you supply (Rentman API token (JWT)). Read-only: 10 tools (list_projects, list_contacts, list_crew, list_equipment, list_quotes, list_invoices, list_project_equipment, list_project_crew, list_stock_locations, list_subrentals). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.rentman.net. Rentman and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Rentman projects are coming up?"
  • "Who are my Rentman customers?"
  • "Which crew members are active in Rentman?"
  • "What equipment is in my Rentman catalogue and what does it cost?"
  • "Which quotes did I send in Rentman?"
  • "Which Rentman invoices are still unpaid?"

What it does

  • list_projects: List rental projects with name, number, customer link, planning and usage periods, status prices and cost totals.
  • list_contacts: List customer and supplier contacts (companies or private persons) with name, type, city and country.
  • list_crew: List crew members with name, e-mail, phone, active flag and tags.
  • list_equipment: List the equipment catalogue with code, name, type, rental or sale, price, unit and archive flag.
  • list_quotes: List quotes with number, subject, customer link, dates, version and price totals.
  • list_invoices: List invoices with number, subject, dates, amounts, paid flag and outstanding balance.
  • list_project_equipment: List the equipment planned in one project with quantity, unit price, discount and usage period.
  • list_project_crew: List the crew assigned to one project with their function links and planning periods.
  • list_stock_locations: List warehouse stock locations with name, city, country, type and active flag.
  • list_subrentals: List subrentals from suppliers with name, supplier link, usage period, cost, type and status.

BYOK key

You bring your own Rentman Rentman API token (JWT) (https://support.rentman.io/hc/en-us/articles/26707946497042-Rentman-API-Changelog). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.rentman.net over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
