What Rhombus (BYOK) is for

Rhombus (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Rhombus data through the Rhombus API with a key you supply (Rhombus API key (US region organizations; EU organizations use a different host that is not supported here)). Read-only: 8 tools (get_camera_states, get_climate_sensor_states, get_door_sensor_states, get_audio_gateway_states, list_unhealthy_devices, list_policy_alerts, count_policy_alerts, get_organization_details). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api2.rhombussystems.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which of my Rhombus cameras are offline or unhealthy?"
  • "What temperature and humidity do my Rhombus sensors report?"
  • "Which Rhombus door sensors are open right now?"
  • "Are my Rhombus audio gateways online?"
  • "Which Rhombus devices have a health problem?"
  • "What alerts did my Rhombus cameras raise in the last day?"

What it does

  • get_camera_states: List all cameras with name, serial number, connection and health status, firmware version, location, Wi-Fi signal and live sharing state.
  • get_climate_sensor_states: List all environmental sensors with name, temperature, humidity, air quality values, battery, signal and health.
  • get_door_sensor_states: List all door sensors with name, open or closed status, battery, signal and health.
  • get_audio_gateway_states: List all audio gateways with name, serial number, connection and health status, firmware version and Wi-Fi signal.
  • list_unhealthy_devices: List current unhealthy device alerts of the organization with device id, symptom and time.
  • list_policy_alerts: List recent policy alerts (motion, person, vehicle and other detections) with time, type, triggers, description, duration and location.
  • count_policy_alerts: Count policy alerts of the organization, up to a maximum.
  • get_organization_details: Show the organization: name, country, creation time, multi-factor setting and inactivity timeout.

BYOK key

You bring your own Rhombus Rhombus API key (US region organizations; EU organizations use a different host that is not supported here) (https://console.rhombussystems.com/settings/api-management/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api2.rhombussystems.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
