What Roadie (BYOK) is for

Roadie (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Roadie data through the Roadie API with a key you supply (Roadie API token). Read-only: 11 tools (list_entities, query_entities, get_entity, list_entity_facets, list_locations, list_scorecards, get_scorecard, list_scorecard_results, get_scorecard_results, list_tech_insights_checks, list_data_sources). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.roadie.so. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roadie. Roadie and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which production components are in our Roadie catalog?"
  • "Search the Roadie catalog for entities mentioning 'payments'"
  • "Show the payments-api component in the Roadie catalog"
  • "How many Roadie catalog entities are there per kind?"
  • "Which locations feed our Roadie catalog?"
  • "Which Tech Insights scorecards do we have in Roadie?"

What it does

  • list_entities: List software catalog entities (components, APIs, systems, groups, resources) matching a filter, with name, owner, lifecycle, type and tags. A filter is required.
  • query_entities: Search catalog entities with optional filter and free-text term, using cursor paging; returns entities, the total count and the next cursor.
  • get_entity: Get one catalog entity by kind, namespace and name, with description, owner, lifecycle, type, tags and its relations.
  • list_entity_facets: Count catalog entities grouped by a field such as kind, spec.type, spec.owner or spec.lifecycle, optionally within a filter.
  • list_locations: List the catalog locations (source files or URLs the catalog is built from) with type and target.
  • list_scorecards: List the Tech Insights scorecards with title, owner, enabled and draft flags and the checks each one uses.
  • get_scorecard: Get one Tech Insights scorecard with its title, owner, sponsor, flags and checks.
  • list_scorecard_results: List the overall result of every Tech Insights scorecard: entities and checks counted, and how many pass or fail.
  • get_scorecard_results: Get the result of one Tech Insights scorecard: entities and checks counted and how many pass or fail.
  • list_tech_insights_checks: List the Tech Insights checks with name, description, whether built in, and the data sources they read.
  • list_data_sources: List the Tech Insights data sources (fact collectors) with title, schedule, version and entity filter.

BYOK key

You bring your own Roadie Roadie API token (https://roadie.io/docs/api/authorization/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.roadie.so over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Roadie API (api.roadie.so) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://roadie.io/docs/api/overview/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roadie. Roadie and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Roadie account.
