What Roblox Open Cloud (BYOK) is for

Roblox Open Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Roblox Open Cloud data through the Roblox Open Cloud API with a key you supply (Open Cloud API key (give it only read permissions for the experiences or groups you need)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_universe, get_place, list_data_stores, list_data_store_entries, get_data_store_entry, list_user_restrictions, get_group, list_group_roles, list_group_memberships, list_group_forum_categories). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to apis.roblox.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Open Cloud. Roblox Open Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What is the display name and visibility of my Roblox universe 1234567890?"
  • "Show place 987654321 of Roblox universe 1234567890"
  • "What data stores does my Roblox universe have?"
  • "List the entries in the PlayerData data store of my Roblox universe"
  • "What is stored under key user_1 in PlayerData?"
  • "Who is banned from my Roblox universe?"

What it does

  • get_universe: Get one experience (universe): name, description, owner user or group, visibility, age rating, supported platforms and root place. Needs a key with universe read permission.
  • get_place: Get one place of an experience: display name, description, server size and whether it is the root place.
  • list_data_stores: List the standard data stores of an experience with id and state. Needs a key with data store list permission.
  • list_data_store_entries: List the entries (keys and values) of a data store with id, value, state, revision and users. Needs a key with data store read permission.
  • get_data_store_entry: Get one data store entry by its key: value, state, revision, linked users and attributes.
  • list_user_restrictions: List users restricted (banned) from an experience with the user, active flag, reason and start time.
  • get_group: Get one group: name, description, owner, member count, whether it is verified, locked or open for public entry.
  • list_group_roles: List a group's roles with name, rank, member count and description.
  • list_group_memberships: List the members of a group with user and role resource names. A filter such as user == 'users/123' narrows it.
  • list_group_forum_categories: List a group's forum categories with name, creator and archive time.

BYOK key

You bring your own Roblox Open Cloud Open Cloud API key (give it only read permissions for the experiences or groups you need) (https://create.roblox.com/dashboard/credentials). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to apis.roblox.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Roblox Open Cloud API (apis.roblox.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://create.roblox.com/docs/cloud/reference. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roblox Open Cloud. Roblox Open Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Roblox Open Cloud account.
