What RunConvert (BYOK) is for
RunConvert (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own RunConvert data through the RunConvert API with a key you supply (RunConvert API key (starts with sk_live_)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_jobs, get_job, list_tasks, get_task, list_conversion_formats, list_webhooks, get_webhook). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.runconvert.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by RunConvert. RunConvert and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which of my conversion jobs failed?"
- "What is the status of job job_01hx4k9m2p?"
- "Which conversion tasks of job job_01hx4k9m2p ran?"
- "How far along is task task_9xkq2v?"
- "Which formats can an mp4 be converted to?"
- "Which webhook endpoints do I have set up?"
What it does
list_jobs: List conversion jobs of the account, optionally by status (waiting, processing, finished, error) or tag, in pages. The answer shape is passed through as the provider sends it, trimmed to a size limit.get_job: Get one conversion job by id: status, tag, credits used, metadata and timing. With include=tasks it also lists the job's tasks.list_tasks: List the individual tasks (import, convert, export steps) across jobs, optionally for one job, status or operation, in pages. The answer shape is passed through as the provider sends it, trimmed to a size limit.get_task: Get one task by id: operation, status, progress percent, message, engine and version, credits and timing. Download links are not returned.list_conversion_formats: Discover supported file conversions: with only input, the formats it can become and the credit cost; with input and output, the engines and their options; with category, all formats of that category.list_webhooks: List the account's webhook endpoints with url, subscribed events and enabled flag. Secrets are masked by the provider and not returned here.get_webhook: Get one webhook endpoint by id: url, description, subscribed events, enabled flag and times.
BYOK key
You bring your own RunConvert RunConvert API key (starts with sk_live_) (https://www.runconvert.com/docs). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.runconvert.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
