What Salesforce (BYOK) is for
Salesforce (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Salesforce data through the Salesforce API with a key you supply (Salesforce OAuth access token (the user's API access must allow reading the objects you ask about)). Read-only: 7 tools (run_soql_query, get_more_query_results, run_sosl_search, list_sobjects, describe_sobject, get_record, get_limits). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.my.salesforce.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Salesforce. Salesforce and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "List the 10 newest Salesforce opportunities with name, stage and amount"
- "Get the next page of my Salesforce query results"
- "Search Salesforce for anything mentioning Acme"
- "What objects does my Salesforce org have?"
- "What fields does the Salesforce Opportunity object have?"
- "Show Salesforce account 001R0000005hDFYIA2 with name and industry"
What it does
run_soql_query: Run a read-only SOQL query (for example SELECT Id, Name FROM Account LIMIT 10) and return the matching records. Add LIMIT to keep answers small; at most 50 records are returned per call, and nextRecordsUrl continues longer results.get_more_query_results: Fetch the next batch of a SOQL query using the locator from nextRecordsUrl (the last part of /services/data/v67.0/query/). run_sosl_search: Run a read-only SOSL text search across objects (for example FIND {Acme} IN ALL FIELDS RETURNING Account(Id, Name)).list_sobjects: List the objects (standard and custom) available in the Salesforce org with their metadata.describe_sobject: Describe one Salesforce object: its fields with types and labels, relationships and record types. Large objects are truncated.get_record: Get one Salesforce record by object and record id, optionally limited to some fields.get_limits: Show the Salesforce org's API limits and how much of each is left (such as daily API requests). Needs the View Setup and Configuration permission.
BYOK key
You bring your own Salesforce Salesforce OAuth access token (the user's API access must allow reading the objects you ask about) (https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_rest.meta/api_rest/quickstart_oauth.htm). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.my.salesforce.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Live from the Salesforce API (*.my.salesforce.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_rest.meta/api_rest/resources_query.htm. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Salesforce. Salesforce and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Salesforce account.
