What Salesmate (BYOK) is for

Salesmate (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Salesmate data through the Salesmate API with a key you supply (Salesmate access token (Profile, Access Token)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_users, get_contact, search_contacts, get_company, get_deal, get_activity, list_record_notes). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.salesmate.io. Salesmate and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Who are the active users in my Salesmate?"
  • "Show Salesmate contact 40"
  • "Which Salesmate contacts were created since 1 June 2026?"
  • "Show Salesmate company 38"
  • "Show Salesmate deal 12"
  • "Show Salesmate activity 7"

What it does

  • list_users: List the active users of the Salesmate workspace with name, email, role, profile, timezone and whether each is the current user.
  • get_contact: Get one contact by ID with name, email, phones, company, owner, currency, address, tags and opt-out flags.
  • search_contacts: Search contacts created after a date; returns id, name, owner, mobile, email, designation, city, tags and company, 250 rows at most per call.
  • get_company: Get one company by ID with the fields Salesmate returns for it.
  • get_deal: Get one deal by ID with the fields Salesmate returns for it.
  • get_activity: Get one activity (task, call, meeting) by ID with the fields Salesmate returns for it.
  • list_record_notes: List the notes attached to one record. Module IDs: 1 contact, 2 activity, 4 deal, 5 company.

BYOK key

You bring your own Salesmate Salesmate access token (Profile, Access Token) (https://support.salesmate.io/hc/en-us). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.salesmate.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
