What Sanity Projects (BYOK) is for
Sanity Projects (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Sanity Projects data through the Sanity Projects API with a key you supply (API token (Administrator or Developer role)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_projects, get_project, list_datasets, list_cors_origins, list_project_features, list_project_permissions, list_dataset_tags, get_embeddings_settings). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.sanity.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sanity Projects. Sanity Projects and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Sanity projects do I have?"
- "Is my Sanity project abc12def disabled or blocked?"
- "Which datasets does my Sanity project have and are they private?"
- "Which origins can call my Sanity project from a browser?"
- "Which features are active on my Sanity project?"
- "What permissions do I have in my Sanity project?"
What it does
list_projects: List the Sanity projects the token's account belongs to with name, studio host, organization, status flags and creation date.get_project: Get one Sanity project: display name, studio host, organization, blocked or disabled status, activity feed setting and creation date.list_datasets: List the datasets of a Sanity project with their access mode (public, private or custom).list_cors_origins: List the browser origins allowed by CORS for a Sanity project, with whether credentials are allowed.list_project_features: List the feature flags that are active for a Sanity project (plain strings).list_project_permissions: List the permission names that apply to a Sanity project for the token (plain strings).list_dataset_tags: List the tags of a Sanity dataset with title, description, tone and the datasets each tag is assigned to.get_embeddings_settings: Get the embeddings index settings of a Sanity dataset: enabled flag, GROQ projection and status (ready, updating or error).
BYOK key
You bring your own Sanity Projects API token (Administrator or Developer role) (https://www.sanity.io/manage). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.sanity.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
