What Sauce Labs (BYOK) is for

Sauce Labs (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Sauce Labs data through the Sauce Labs API with a key you supply (Sauce Labs username). Read-only: 11 tools (get_platform_status, list_supported_platforms, list_real_devices, get_real_device, get_real_device_status, list_real_device_jobs, get_real_device_job, list_builds, list_virtual_jobs, get_virtual_job, get_org_concurrency). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.us-west-1.saucelabs.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sauce Labs. Sauce Labs and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Is Sauce Labs up right now?"
  • "Which iOS simulators does Sauce Labs support for Appium?"
  • "Which Android real devices does Sauce Labs offer?"
  • "Describe the Sauce Labs device iPad_Pro_11_14_2018_real."
  • "Which Sauce Labs real devices are free right now?"
  • "What tests ran on Sauce Labs real devices recently?"

What it does

  • get_platform_status: Show whether the Sauce Labs platform is operational, with the current wait time and a status message.
  • list_supported_platforms: List the operating system, browser and simulator or emulator combinations Sauce Labs supports for a framework.
  • list_real_devices: List the real devices in the data center with OS, version, manufacturer, model, screen size and memory. Uses the US West data center (api.us-west-1.saucelabs.com); accounts in other regions are not supported.
  • get_real_device: Get the full descriptor of one real device by id: OS, CPU, resolution, memory and which test features it supports. Uses the US West data center (api.us-west-1.saucelabs.com); accounts in other regions are not supported.
  • get_real_device_status: List the real devices with their current state (available, in use, cleaning, maintenance, offline) and whether they are private.
  • list_real_device_jobs: List jobs running or recently run on real devices, newest first, with device, OS, status and timing; page with offset and limit.
  • get_real_device_job: Get one real-device job: status, device, OS, app name and version, tags, timing and whether it passed.
  • list_builds: List test builds for real devices (rdc) or emulators and simulators (vdc) with status, job counts and timing; filter by status or name. Uses the US West data center (api.us-west-1.saucelabs.com); accounts in other regions are not supported.
  • list_virtual_jobs: List recent jobs of a user on virtual devices, browsers, emulators and simulators, with status and timing.
  • get_virtual_job: Get one virtual-device job: name, status, OS, browser, build, tags, pass result and timing.
  • get_org_concurrency: Show concurrency usage of an organization (maximum, minimum, team share and limits) per resource type over a period.

BYOK key

You bring your own Sauce Labs Sauce Labs username (https://docs.saucelabs.com/dev/api/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.us-west-1.saucelabs.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Sauce Labs API (api.us-west-1.saucelabs.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.saucelabs.com/dev/api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sauce Labs. Sauce Labs and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Sauce Labs account.
