What Scaleway (BYOK) is for

Scaleway (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Scaleway data through the Scaleway API with a key you supply (API secret key (give it read-only IAM permissions)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_projects, list_servers, get_server, list_flexible_ips, list_volumes, list_snapshots, list_security_groups). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.scaleway.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Scaleway. Scaleway and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Projects exist in my Scaleway Organization?"
  • "Which of my Scaleway Instances are running in fr-par-1?"
  • "What is the state and IP of Scaleway Instance 22222222-2222-4222-8222-222222222222?"
  • "Which flexible IPs do I have in Scaleway fr-par-1?"
  • "How big are my Scaleway volumes in fr-par-1?"
  • "Which snapshots do I have in Scaleway fr-par-1?"

What it does

  • list_projects: List the Projects of a Scaleway Organization with name, description, creation date and status.
  • list_servers: List Instances (virtual servers) in one availability zone with state, commercial type, public and private IPs, image, tags and dates. The API lists running Instances unless a state is given.
  • get_server: Get one Instance by id: state, commercial type, IPs, image, security group, tags and dates.
  • list_flexible_ips: List flexible (routed) IP addresses in one zone with type, state, reverse DNS, tags and the Instance each is attached to.
  • list_volumes: List block or local volumes in one zone with type, size in bytes, state and the Instance each is attached to. The API lists l_ssd volumes unless a type is given.
  • list_snapshots: List volume snapshots in one zone with type, size in bytes, state and creation date.
  • list_security_groups: List security groups in one zone with default inbound and outbound policy, statefulness and attached Instances.

BYOK key

You bring your own Scaleway API secret key (give it read-only IAM permissions) (https://console.scaleway.com/iam/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.scaleway.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Scaleway API (api.scaleway.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.scaleway.com/en/developers/api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Scaleway. Scaleway and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Scaleway account.
