What Screenly (BYOK) is for
Screenly (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Screenly data through the Screenly API with a key you supply (Screenly API token). Read-only: 10 tools (list_screens, list_screen_statuses, list_screen_reports, list_assets, list_asset_groups, list_playlists, list_playlist_items, list_labels, list_screen_labels, list_playlist_labels). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.screenlyapp.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Screenly. Screenly and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Screenly screens do I have and where are they?"
- "Which of my Screenly screens are offline?"
- "What software version and uptime do my Screenly players report?"
- "Which video assets are in my Screenly library?"
- "What asset groups exist in Screenly?"
- "Which Screenly playlists are enabled?"
What it does
list_screens: List the signage screens (players) in the account with name, location text, time zone, type and whether they are enabled.list_screen_statuses: List each screen's online state and whether its playlist is in sync with the web console.list_screen_reports: List the latest health report per screen: player software and hardware version, uptime in seconds and last report time.list_assets: List content assets (images, videos, web pages) with title, type, processing status, size and dimensions.list_asset_groups: List asset groups (folders for assets) with id and title.list_playlists: List playlists with title, enabled flag, priority flag, schedule predicate and transition.list_playlist_items: List the items of playlists: which asset, in what position and for how many seconds.list_labels: List labels used to group screens and schedule playlists, with name and type (all-screens, manual or screen).list_screen_labels: List which labels are attached to which screens (pairs of label id and screen id).list_playlist_labels: List which labels are attached to which playlists (pairs of label id and playlist id).
BYOK key
You bring your own Screenly Screenly API token (https://login.screenlyapp.com/manage/account/security). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.screenlyapp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Screenly. Screenly and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Screenly account.
