What Selectel (BYOK) is for

Selectel (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Selectel data through the Selectel API with a key you supply (Selectel static token (not an IAM token)). Read-only: 8 tools (get_balances, get_billing_prediction, get_project_cost_report, list_transactions, list_ptr_records, get_ptr_record, list_support_tickets, count_support_tickets). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.selectel.ru. Selectel and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

  • "How much money is left on my Selectel balance?"
  • "How long will my Selectel balance last?"
  • "What did each of my Selectel projects cost in September 2026?"
  • "What balance transactions happened on my Selectel account in September?"
  • "Which PTR records are set for my Selectel IP addresses?"
  • "What is PTR record 42 on Selectel?"

What it does

  • get_balances: Get account balances per billing type with debts, final sum, currency and debt status.
  • get_billing_prediction: Estimate for how many hours the remaining balance will keep services running, per product line.
  • get_project_cost_report: Get the detailed cost report for one month, by project and product, with amounts paid from each balance.
  • list_transactions: List balance transactions in a date range with type, direction, amount, state and service.
  • list_ptr_records: List reverse DNS (PTR) records of your public IP addresses; pages of up to 1000.
  • get_ptr_record: Get one PTR record by id: IP address, host name and TTL.
  • list_support_tickets: List your support tickets with number, summary, status, dates and unread comment count.
  • count_support_tickets: Count your support tickets, optionally only open or closed ones.

BYOK key

You bring your own Selectel Selectel static token (not an IAM token) (https://my.selectel.ru/profile/apikeys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.selectel.ru over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
