What ServiceM8 Catalog (BYOK) is for

ServiceM8 Catalog (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ServiceM8 Catalog data through the ServiceM8 Catalog API with a key you supply (ServiceM8 API key). Read-only: 8 tools (list_materials, list_material_bundles, list_tax_rates, list_job_templates, list_service_templates, list_suppliers, list_asset_types, list_asset_type_fields). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.servicem8.com. What it does

list_materials: List materials, products and labour rates with name, item number, sell price, cost, stock quantity, inventory flag and tax rate.
list_material_bundles: List material bundles (kits of materials sold together) with name and item number.
list_tax_rates: List tax rates with name, percentage amount and whether it is the default.
list_job_templates: List job templates with name.
list_service_templates: List bookable service templates with name, booking type, pricing method, default job category, customer booking flag and displayed price. Cursor paging: send cursor -1 first.
list_suppliers: List suppliers with name, business number, account number and city (no email or phone).
list_asset_types: List asset types (categories of customer equipment) with name.
list_asset_type_fields: List the custom fields defined for asset types with the asset type, field name and sort order.

BYOK key

You bring your own ServiceM8 Catalog ServiceM8 API key (https://developer.servicem8.com/docs/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.servicem8.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
