What Sesame HR (BYOK) is for

Sesame HR (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Sesame HR data through the Sesame HR API with a key you supply (Sesame HR API token). Read-only: 12 tools (get_company_info, list_departments, list_offices, list_locations, list_roles, list_custom_fields, list_absence_types, list_holiday_calendars, list_vacation_configurations, list_contract_types, list_request_types, list_vacancies). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.sesametime.com.   • "What departments does our company have in Sesame HR?"
  • "Which offices are set up in Sesame HR?"
  • "What work locations are defined in Sesame HR?"
  • "What roles exist in our Sesame HR account?"
  • "Which custom employee fields has our company configured?"

What it does

  • get_company_info: Show the company the token belongs to: id, name, notification email, language and creation date.
  • list_departments: List the company's departments (id and name), optionally filtered by name.
  • list_offices: List the company's offices with address, time zone and archived flag.
  • list_locations: List the company's work locations (name, address, check-in radius).
  • list_roles: List the permission roles defined in the company (id and name).
  • list_custom_fields: List the custom employee fields defined by the company (name, slug and type, not employee values).
  • list_absence_types: List absence types (sick leave, permissions and so on) with category, pay mode, validation need and status.
  • list_holiday_calendars: List holiday calendars with their days off (id, name, date).
  • list_vacation_configurations: List vacation policies: day type, maximum days off, whether requests need validation and the default flag.
  • list_contract_types: List the contract types defined for the company (id and name), optionally filtered by name.
  • list_request_types: List the request types employees can file (id, name, archived date).
  • list_vacancies: List recruitment vacancies with status (open, closed, draft), contract type, experience and publish flag.

BYOK key

You bring your own Sesame HR Sesame HR API token (https://apidocs.sesametime.com/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.sesametime.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
