What Shortcut Config (BYOK) is for
Shortcut Config (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Shortcut Config data through the Shortcut Config API with a key you supply (Shortcut API token). Read-only: 10 tools (list_custom_fields, get_custom_field, list_labels, get_label, list_repositories, list_entity_templates, get_entity_template, list_documents, get_workflow, get_team). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.app.shortcut.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shortcut Config. Shortcut Config and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which custom fields does our Shortcut workspace define?"
- "What values does Shortcut custom field 0000aaaa allow?"
- "Which Shortcut labels are used most?"
- "How many stories carry Shortcut label 12?"
- "Which repositories are linked to our Shortcut workspace?"
- "What story templates exist in Shortcut?"
What it does
list_custom_fields: List the custom fields defined in the Shortcut workspace with type, the story types they apply to, enabled flag and allowed values.get_custom_field: Get one Shortcut custom field with its type, applicable story types and the list of allowed values.list_labels: List Shortcut labels with color, archived flag and usage statistics (story, epic and point counts by state).get_label: Get one Shortcut label with its description and counts of stories, epics and points by state.list_repositories: List the code repositories linked to the Shortcut workspace with name, type (for example github) and URL.list_entity_templates: List Shortcut story templates with their default story type, estimate, project, team, workflow state, labels and custom field values.get_entity_template: Get one Shortcut story template with its default story type, estimate, project, team, workflow state and labels.list_documents: List the Shortcut Docs in the workspace as id, title and link (no document text).get_workflow: Get one Shortcut workflow with its workflow states (name, type, position and number of stories in each) and default state.get_team: Get one Shortcut team (group): archived flag, default workflow, story and epic counts, and workflow ids (member lists are left out).
BYOK key
You bring your own Shortcut Config Shortcut API token (https://app.shortcut.com/settings/account/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.app.shortcut.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
