What Short.io (BYOK) is for

Short.io (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Short.io data through the Short.io API with a key you supply (Short.io secret API key). Read-only: 7 tools (list_domains, get_domain, list_links, get_link, get_link_by_path, find_links_by_original_url, list_link_folders). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.short.io. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which domains do I have in Short.io?"
  • "Show the settings of my Short.io domain"
  • "What short links do I have on my Short.io domain?"
  • "Show the details of my Short.io link lnk_abc"
  • "Where does go.example.com/abc redirect to?"
  • "Do I already have a Short.io link for https://example.com/page?"

What it does

  • list_domains: List the domains of the account (or team) with state, link type, HTTPS level and creation date.
  • get_domain: Get one domain by its numeric ID: state, link type, HTTPS level, robots setting and plan.
  • list_links: List the short links of a domain with destination, short URL, title, tags and dates; pass nextPageToken as page_token for the next page.
  • get_link: Get one short link by its ID (starts with lnk_): destination, short URL, title, tags, expiry and redirect type.
  • get_link_by_path: Find a short link by its domain name and path (the part after the slash).
  • find_links_by_original_url: Find the short links on a domain that point to a given destination URL. The documentation does not describe the answer fields, so the answer is returned as received.
  • list_link_folders: List the link folders of a domain. The documentation does not describe the answer fields, so the answer is returned as received.

BYOK key

You bring your own Short.io Short.io secret API key (https://app.short.io/settings/integrations/api-key). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.short.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
