What Shotstack (BYOK) is for
Shotstack (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Shotstack data through the Shotstack API with a key you supply (Shotstack production (v1) API key). Read-only: 8 tools (get_render_status, list_templates, get_template, list_generation_models, get_hosted_asset, get_assets_by_render, list_sources, get_source). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.shotstack.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Shotstack. Shotstack and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Is my Shotstack render finished and where is the video?"
- "What Shotstack templates have I saved?"
- "What is the name of this Shotstack template?"
- "Which Shotstack generation models does my plan allow?"
- "Where is this Shotstack hosted asset and is it ready?"
- "Which files did this Shotstack render produce?"
What it does
get_render_status: Get the status of a Shotstack render (queued, fetching, rendering, saving, done or failed) with the output, poster and thumbnail URLs and render time. Production (v1) keys only.list_templates: List the templates saved in the Shotstack account (production stage) with id, name and created and updated times.get_template: Get the name and owner of one saved Shotstack template by ID (its full edit JSON is left out).list_generation_models: List the image, video and audio generation models the Shotstack account could use, with type, name and whether the plan allows each. Listing does not generate anything.get_hosted_asset: Get one asset hosted by the Shotstack Serve API by asset ID (not the render ID): file name, URL, status and times.get_assets_by_render: List the hosted files (video, thumbnail, poster) produced by one Shotstack render, with URL and status.list_sources: List source files (video, image, audio, fonts) ingested into the Shotstack account with status and media size.get_source: Get one ingested Shotstack source file by ID: origin URL, status, dimensions, duration and frame rate.
BYOK key
You bring your own Shotstack Shotstack production (v1) API key (https://dashboard.shotstack.io/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.shotstack.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
