What SimpleTexting (BYOK) is for

SimpleTexting (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own SimpleTexting data through the SimpleTexting API with a key you supply (API token). Read-only: 10 tools (get_account, list_phones, list_messages, list_campaigns, get_campaign, list_contact_lists, get_contact_list, list_segments, list_custom_fields, list_webhooks). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api-app2.simpletexting.com.   • "Which email is my SimpleTexting account registered with?"
  • "Which phone numbers do I text from in SimpleTexting?"
  • "What messages did we exchange with 2025550123 since October?"
  • "How did my last text campaigns perform?"
  • "What were the results of campaign 507f1f77bcf86cd799439011?"
  • "How many subscribers are on each SimpleTexting list?"

What it does

  • get_account: Show the account's general information (the account email).
  • list_phones: List the texting phone numbers on the account with their names.
  • list_messages: List message records (no message text): id, contact and account numbers, direction (MT outgoing, MO incoming), category and time. Optional account number, contact number and since filters.
  • list_campaigns: List text campaigns (immediate ones unless type is set) with state, schedule times and results: sent count, success and opt-out rates, credits used.
  • get_campaign: Get one campaign: state, schedule, lists and segments targeted, results and tracking-link click counts.
  • list_contact_lists: List contact lists with total, active, invalid and unsubscribed contact counts and keywords.
  • get_contact_list: Get one contact list by id or name with its contact counts (contacts themselves are not returned).
  • list_segments: List saved contact segments (id, name, created and updated times).
  • list_custom_fields: List custom contact fields with label, type, merge tag and default maximum length.
  • list_webhooks: List configured webhooks with target URL, triggers and rate limit.

BYOK key

You bring your own SimpleTexting API token (https://app2.simpletexting.com/settings/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api-app2.simpletexting.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
