What Smaily (BYOK) is for

Smaily (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Smaily data through the Smaily API with a key you supply (Smaily API username). Read-only: 10 tools (get_subscriber, list_segment_subscribers, list_segments, list_campaigns, get_campaign_statistics, list_ab_tests, list_automation_workflows, list_templates, list_organization_users, list_subscriber_actions). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.sendsmaily.net. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Smaily. Smaily and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Is jane@example.com subscribed in Smaily?"
  • "Who is in Smaily segment 3?"
  • "Which segments do I have in Smaily?"
  • "Which Smaily campaigns were completed?"
  • "How did Smaily campaign 12 perform?"
  • "Which A/B tests did I run in Smaily?"

What it does

  • get_subscriber: Get one subscriber by email address: subscription status, dates, total opens and clicks, and every custom data field.
  • list_segment_subscribers: List the subscribers of one segment sorted by email, with status, dates and custom fields. Page with offset (0 gives the first block).
  • list_segments: List segments with ID, name and number of subscribers.
  • list_campaigns: List email campaigns with name, status, template, tags and dates. Filter by status; 0 limit returns all.
  • get_campaign_statistics: Get the overview statistics of one campaign: sender, status, delivered, bounced, clicked, opened, unsubscribed and complaint counts and percentages.
  • list_ab_tests: List A/B tests with name, status, sections (subject and template), tags and dates.
  • list_automation_workflows: List automation workflows with name, status, message sections, tags and activation date.
  • list_templates: List email templates with type, creation and modification time and preview URL.
  • list_organization_users: List the users of the organization with name, email, role and owner flag.
  • list_subscriber_actions: List subscriber actions (opens, clicks, bounces, opt-ins, sends) in a time range, oldest first. Only the last 30 days are kept. Times are UNIX timestamps in UTC.

BYOK key

You bring your own Smaily Smaily API username (https://smaily.com/help/api/general/create-api-user/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.sendsmaily.net over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Smaily API (*.sendsmaily.net) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://smaily.com/help/api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Smaily. Smaily and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Smaily account.
