What Smartsheet (BYOK) is for
Smartsheet (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Smartsheet data through the Smartsheet API with a key you supply (API access token). Read-only: 10 tools (get_current_user, list_sheets, get_sheet, list_sheet_columns, get_row, list_reports, get_report, list_dashboards, list_workspaces, search_everything). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.smartsheet.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Smartsheet. Smartsheet and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Smartsheet user and account is my token connected to?"
- "Which Smartsheet sheets can I open?"
- "What rows are in my Smartsheet launch plan sheet?"
- "What columns does my Smartsheet launch plan sheet have?"
- "Show me this row of my Smartsheet sheet."
- "Which Smartsheet reports can I open?"
What it does
get_current_user: Show the Smartsheet user the token belongs to: name, email, role, admin flags, sheet count, time zone and account name.list_sheets: List the Smartsheet sheets the user can access with name, access level, version and last-modified time, 100 per page by default.get_sheet: Get one Smartsheet sheet: its columns and a page of rows with each cell's value and display value. Use page and page_size to read large sheets.list_sheet_columns: List the columns of a Smartsheet sheet with title, type, position, primary flag and hidden/locked flags. Column IDs identify cells in rows.get_row: Get one row of a Smartsheet sheet with every cell's value and display value.list_reports: List the Smartsheet reports the user can access with name, access level and whether it is a summary report.get_report: Get one Smartsheet report: its columns and a page of rows with cell values.list_dashboards: List the Smartsheet dashboards (sights) the user can access with name, access level and last-modified time.list_workspaces: List the Smartsheet workspaces the user can access with name and access level.search_everything: Search all Smartsheet sheets, rows, reports, dashboards, workspaces and discussions the user can see for a text. Returns matching text and object ids.
BYOK key
You bring your own Smartsheet API access token (https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2482389-generate-API-key). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.smartsheet.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Smartsheet. Smartsheet and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
