What Snipcart (BYOK) is for

Snipcart (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Snipcart data through the Snipcart API with a key you supply (secret API key (Test or Live mode)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_orders, get_order, list_customers, get_customer, list_products, get_product, list_discounts, get_discount). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.snipcart.com. What it does

  • list_orders: List completed orders (lighter excerpt form by default) with status, payment and invoice number. Filter by status, payment status, purchaser, product or date range.
  • get_order: Get one complete order by its token, including items, promo codes, taxes and shipping packages.
  • list_customers: List customers (Snipcart users) with order count and total spent, billing name and location. Default order is by number of orders.
  • get_customer: Get one customer by id with statistics and billing details.
  • list_products: List products with sales statistics (number of sales, total sales), price, stock and variants.
  • get_product: Get one product by its Snipcart id or by the user-defined id from your buy button.
  • list_discounts: List all discounts (promo codes and automatic rules) with trigger, type, rate or amount, usage count and expiry. Not paginated.
  • get_discount: Get one discount by id.

BYOK key

You bring your own Snipcart secret API key (Test or Live mode) (https://docs.snipcart.com/v3/api-reference/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.snipcart.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
