What Snipe-IT Cloud (BYOK) is for
Snipe-IT Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Snipe-IT Cloud data through the Snipe-IT Cloud API with a key you supply (personal API token). Read-only: 11 tools (list_assets, get_asset_by_tag, list_licenses, list_accessories, list_consumables, list_components, list_status_labels, list_manufacturers, list_companies, list_departments, list_maintenances). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.snipe-it.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Snipe-IT Cloud. Snipe-IT Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which assets are ready to deploy in my Snipe-IT?"
- "What is the status of asset tag A-0001 in Snipe-IT?"
- "Which Snipe-IT licenses have free seats?"
- "Which accessories are running low in Snipe-IT?"
- "How many consumables are left in Snipe-IT?"
- "Which hardware components are tracked in Snipe-IT?"

BYOK key
You bring your own Snipe-IT Cloud personal API token (https://snipe-it.readme.io/reference/api-overview). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.snipe-it.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Data sources

Live from the Snipe-IT Cloud API (*.snipe-it.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://snipe-it.readme.io/reference/api-overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
