What Sonix (BYOK) is for

Sonix (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Sonix data through the Sonix API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 8 tools (list_media, get_media, list_translations, get_translation_status, get_summarization, list_folders, list_users, list_shares). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.sonix.ai. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sonix. Sonix and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which files are still transcribing in Sonix?"
  • "What is the status of Sonix file qmnY1nD5?"
  • "Which translations exist for Sonix file qmnY1nD5?"
  • "Is the Spanish translation of Sonix file qmnY1nD5 finished?"
  • "Show Sonix summarization abc123"
  • "What folders do I have in Sonix?"

What it does

  • list_media: List the audio and video files in your Sonix account, newest first, with name, duration, language, status and shareable link. 100 files per page.
  • get_media: Get one Sonix file: name, duration, language, status, folder and shareable link.
  • list_translations: List the languages a Sonix file has been translated into, with status and request time.
  • get_translation_status: Get the status of one translation of a Sonix file: queued, translating, completed or failed.
  • get_summarization: Get the status and result of a Sonix AI summarization by ID: subtype, media file, timestamps and the summary text.
  • list_folders: List the folders in your Sonix account with ID, name and access control.
  • list_users: List the users of your Sonix account with ID, name, email and role.
  • list_shares: List who a Sonix file is shared with: email and whether they can edit.

BYOK key

You bring your own Sonix API key (https://my.sonix.ai/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.sonix.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Read-only. Sonix API access needs a paid plan (Core or higher). Transcript text exports are not included; the tools return file metadata, statuses and summaries.

Data sources

Live from the Sonix API (api.sonix.ai) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://sonix.ai/docs/api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sonix. Sonix and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Sonix account.
