What Split (BYOK) is for
Split (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Split data through the Split API with a key you supply (Split Admin API key). Read-only: 11 tools (list_projects, list_environments, list_traffic_types, list_feature_flags, get_feature_flag, list_flag_definitions, list_segments, list_attributes, list_rollout_statuses, list_groups, list_change_requests). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.split.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Split. Split and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Split projects do I have and what are their IDs?"
- "Which environments does my Split project have?"
- "What traffic types are defined in my Split project?"
- "Which feature flags exist in my Split project?"
- "Show me the details of the paywall_beta flag in Split"
- "What is the state of my feature flags in the production environment?"
What it does
list_projects: List the projects (workspaces) the key can see, with their IDs and Harness organization and project identifiers. Use the id in the other tools.list_environments: List the environments of one project with their IDs and names.list_traffic_types: List the traffic types (the kind of key flags target, such as user or account) of one project.list_feature_flags: List the feature flags of a project (metadata only: traffic type, rollout status, creation time), 50 per page at most.get_feature_flag: Get the metadata of one feature flag: description, traffic type, rollout status and creation time.list_flag_definitions: List the feature flag definitions configured in one environment: killed state, default treatment, traffic allocation and last update, 50 per page at most.list_segments: List the segments of a project (name, description, traffic type, creation time), 50 per page at most.list_attributes: List the attributes registered for one traffic type of a project (display name, data type, whether searchable).list_rollout_statuses: List the rollout statuses a feature flag can have in a project, such as Pre-Production or Killed, with descriptions.list_groups: List the user groups of the account (name and description), up to 200 per call. Members are not returned.list_change_requests: List change requests for feature flags or segments in a project, filtered by status, with title, operation type and scheduled time.
BYOK key
You bring your own Split Split Admin API key (https://developer.harness.io/docs/feature-management-experimentation/management-and-administration/account-settings/api-keys/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.split.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
