What SportsData.io Formula 1 (BYOK) is for
SportsData.io Formula 1 (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own SportsData.io Formula 1 data through the SportsData.io Formula 1 API with a key you supply (SportsData.io Formula 1 API key). Read-only: 8 tools (get_driver_standings, get_team_standings, list_drivers, list_teams, list_circuits, get_schedule, list_races_by_season, get_race). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.sportsdata.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SportsData.io Formula 1. SportsData.io Formula 1 and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Who leads the 2026 F1 drivers' championship?"
- "Which team leads the 2026 constructors' championship?"
- "Which drivers are in Formula 1?"
- "Which constructors are in Formula 1?"
- "How many turns does each F1 circuit have?"
- "When are the 2026 Formula 1 races?"
What it does

BYOK key
You bring your own SportsData.io Formula 1 SportsData.io Formula 1 API key (https://sportsdata.io/developers/api-documentation/f1). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.sportsdata.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
