What Square (BYOK) is for
Square (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Square data through the Square API with a key you supply (access token (personal access token from your Square application, production)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_merchant, list_locations, get_location, search_orders, get_order, list_payments, get_payment, list_customers, list_catalog, get_inventory_counts). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to connect.squareup.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Square. Square and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Square business is my access token connected to?"
- "What Square locations does my business have?"
- "What are the details of my Square location L123?"
- "What were the latest orders at my Square location?"
- "Show the line items of Square order abc123"
- "Show my latest Square payments"
What it does

BYOK key
You bring your own Square access token (personal access token from your Square application, production) (https://developer.squareup.com/apps). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to connect.squareup.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
