What Strava (BYOK) is for
Strava (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Strava data through the Strava API with a key you supply (Strava access token (short-lived: it expires six hours after it is issued)). Read-only: 6 tools (get_my_profile, list_my_activities, get_activity, get_my_stats, get_gear, list_my_routes). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to www.strava.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Strava. Strava and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Strava account is my token connected to?"
- "What were my last 10 runs and rides on Strava?"
- "Show the details of my Strava activity 12345678"
- "How far have I run this year on Strava?"
- "How many kilometres are on my bike b12345678?"
- "What routes do I have saved on Strava?"
What it does
get_my_profile: Show the Strava athlete the token belongs to: name, city, country, units, follower counts, FTP, weight, bikes and shoes. Reads only the data of the athlete the token belongs to.list_my_activities: List your own recent Strava activities (newest first) with type, distance in metres, moving time in seconds, elevation, speed and heart rate. Needs a token with the activity:read scope (activity:read_all to include Only Me activities). Reads only the data of the athlete the token belongs to.get_activity: Get one of your own activities by id: totals, speed, heart rate, calories, description, device and gear. Needs the activity:read scope. Reads only the data of the athlete the token belongs to.get_my_stats: Get your own totals: recent (four weeks), year-to-date and all-time runs, rides and swims, plus the biggest ride distance and climb. Counts only activities visible to everyone. Reads only the data of the athlete the token belongs to.get_gear: Get one piece of your own gear (a bike or shoes) by its id, with brand, model and total distance in metres. Reads only the data of the athlete the token belongs to.list_my_routes: List routes you created or starred on Strava. The answer is returned as the provider sends it, capped at 20 routes per call. Reads only the data of the athlete the token belongs to.
BYOK key
You bring your own Strava Strava access token (short-lived: it expires six hours after it is issued) (https://www.strava.com/settings/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to www.strava.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
