What Stripe Connect (BYOK) is for

Stripe Connect (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Stripe Connect data through the Stripe Connect API with a key you supply (restricted API key with read permissions only (starts with rk_live_ or rk_test_)). Read-only: 11 tools (get_platform_account, list_connected_accounts, get_connected_account, list_account_capabilities, list_application_fees, get_application_fee, list_transfers, get_transfer, list_transfer_reversals, list_topups, get_topup). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.stripe.com. What it does

  • get_platform_account: Show the Stripe account the key belongs to: country, default currency, whether charges and payouts are enabled, and business name and website. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • list_connected_accounts: List the connected accounts of a Connect platform with type, country, capabilities flags and business name. No contact or bank details are returned. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • get_connected_account: Get one connected account by id: type, country, currency, charge and payout flags, business name and website. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • list_account_capabilities: List the capabilities of one connected account (such as card_payments or transfers) with requested flag and status. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • list_application_fees: List application fees the platform collected on connected accounts' charges. Amounts are in the smallest currency unit. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • get_application_fee: Get one application fee by id with amount, refunded amount, currency and the charge it came from. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • list_transfers: List transfers from the platform balance to connected accounts, newest first, with amount, destination and reversal state. Amounts are in the smallest currency unit. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • get_transfer: Get one transfer by id: amount, destination account, reversed amount and transfer group. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • list_transfer_reversals: List the reversals of one transfer with amount, currency and creation time. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • list_topups: List top-ups (funds added to the Stripe balance from a bank source) with amount, status and expected availability. Amounts are in the smallest currency unit. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.
  • get_topup: Get one top-up by id: amount, status, descriptor and failure details. Works with a restricted key that has read access to this resource only.

BYOK key

You bring your own Stripe Connect restricted API key with read permissions only (starts with rk_live_ or rk_test_) (https://dashboard.stripe.com/apikeys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.stripe.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
