What Sumo Logic (BYOK) is for
Sumo Logic (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Sumo Logic data through the Sumo Logic API with a key you supply (Sumo Logic access ID (US1 deployment, api.sumologic.com)). Read-only: 9 tools (get_account_status, list_partitions, list_dashboards, list_saved_searches, search_monitors, list_extraction_rules, list_fields, list_macros, list_health_events). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.sumologic.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Sumo Logic. Sumo Logic and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "What plan is my Sumo Logic account on?"
- "Which Sumo Logic partitions do I have?"
- "Which Sumo Logic dashboards exist?"
- "Which log searches are saved in Sumo Logic?"
- "Which Sumo Logic monitors match a filter?"
- "Which field extraction rules does Sumo Logic have?"
What it does
get_account_status: Show the Sumo Logic account status: pricing model, plan type (Free, Trial, Paid), days until the plan expires, credits and whether the account is activated.list_partitions: List partitions (log indexes) with name, routing expression, data tier, retention days, size in bytes and whether active.list_dashboards: List dashboards with title, description, folder id, whether public, refresh interval and report schedule count.list_saved_searches: List saved log searches with name, description, query text, parent folder id and dates.search_monitors: Search monitors and monitor folders by filter text such as 'type:monitor' or 'monitorStatus:Critical'; returns name, description, content type, parent folder and path.list_extraction_rules: List field extraction rules with name, scope, parse expression, enabled flag and the fields they extract.list_fields: List custom fields defined in the account with field name, id, data type and whether enabled.list_macros: List search macros with name, description, definition, enabled flag and creation time.list_health_events: List health events (errors and warnings on collectors, sources and ingest budgets) with event name, resource, severity, subsystem and time.
BYOK key
You bring your own Sumo Logic Sumo Logic access ID (US1 deployment, api.sumologic.com) (https://help.sumologic.com/docs/manage/security/access-keys/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.sumologic.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
