What Taddy (BYOK) is for
Taddy (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Taddy data through the Taddy API with a key you supply (Taddy API key). Read-only: 9 tools (search_podcasts, search_podcast_episodes, get_podcast, list_podcast_episodes, get_podcast_episode, get_top_charts_by_country, get_top_charts_by_genre, get_popular_podcasts, get_api_requests_remaining). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.taddy.org. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Taddy. Taddy and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Find podcasts about the history of India"
- "Find podcast episodes that discuss sourdough baking"
- "Show me the podcast 'This American Life' and its latest episodes"
- "List the oldest episodes of the show with Taddy uuid abc-1"
- "Get details of the podcast episode with Taddy uuid ep-1"
- "What are the top podcasts in India right now?"
What it does
search_podcasts: Search the Taddy directory for podcast shows by keywords. Returns name, author, description, feed URL, language, genres and episode count. Each call counts as one API request of your monthly plan.search_podcast_episodes: Search podcast episodes by keywords, optionally only episodes that have a transcript. Returns title, description, duration, publish time, audio link and the show. Each call counts as one API request of your monthly plan.get_podcast: Get one podcast show by name, iTunes ID, RSS feed URL or Taddy uuid (give exactly one), with details and its most recent episodes.list_podcast_episodes: List episodes of one podcast show (by Taddy uuid), newest first by default, optionally filtered by words in the episode title or description.get_podcast_episode: Get one podcast episode by Taddy uuid, or by RSS guid or title (optionally narrowed to one show with series_uuid).get_top_charts_by_country: Get the podcast top chart (Apple Podcasts based) for a country, either shows or episodes.get_top_charts_by_genre: Get the podcast top chart (Apple Podcasts based) for one genre, optionally limited to one country; shows or episodes.get_popular_podcasts: Rank podcast shows by Taddy's popularity score, optionally for one genre and one language.get_api_requests_remaining: Show how many Taddy API requests are left for the month on the key's plan (the free plan has 500).
BYOK key
You bring your own Taddy Taddy API key (https://taddy.org/dashboard). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.taddy.org over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
