What TagoIO (BYOK) is for
TagoIO (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own TagoIO data through the TagoIO API with a key you supply (TagoIO profile token (Account Token; create one in Profile settings under Tokens, give it read-only access)). Read-only: 11 tools (get_account, get_account_plan, list_devices, get_device, get_device_data, get_device_statistics, get_device_data_amount, list_dashboards, get_dashboard, list_entities, list_access_policies). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.us-e1.tago.io, api.eu-w1.tago.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TagoIO. TagoIO and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which TagoIO account and plan am I on?"
- "What TagoIO plan do I have?"
- "Which devices do I have in TagoIO?"
- "Show TagoIO device 5e12345a."
- "What did TagoIO device 5e12345a last report?"
- "How much data did TagoIO device 5e12345a send this week?"
What it does

Contact details and billing ids are not returned.get_account_plan: Show the name of the account's plan.list_devices: List devices with name, connector, network and tags. Filter by name, active or visible state, connector, network, tag, or by recent data or creation time.get_device: Get one device: name, type, active and visible flags, connector, network, tags, data retention and last input time. Device tokens are not returned.get_device_data: Get the latest data points of a device: variable, value, unit, time and location.get_device_statistics: Get the data input and output counts of a device per hour, day or month. Needs the Control Tower add-on.get_device_data_amount: Count the data records stored for a device.list_dashboards: List dashboards with label, type (dashboard or blueprint), tags, visibility, creation and last access time.get_dashboard: Get one dashboard: label, type, visibility, tags, group-by fields, widget layout and update time.list_entities: List entities (structured data tables) with name, tags and creation and update time.list_access_policies: List access management policies with name, active flag, tags and creation time.
BYOK key
You bring your own TagoIO TagoIO profile token (Account Token; create one in Profile settings under Tokens, give it read-only access) (https://docs.tago.io/docs/tagoio/profiles/account-token). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.us-e1.tago.io, api.eu-w1.tago.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
