What Tally Governance (BYOK) is for

Tally Governance (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Tally Governance data through the Tally Governance API with a key you supply (Tally (Cactus) API key). Read-only: 10 tools (list_chains, list_organizations, get_organization, list_governors, get_governor, list_proposals, get_proposal, list_delegates, list_proposal_votes, get_token). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.tally.xyz. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tally Governance. Tally Governance and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which chains does Tally support?"
  • "Which are the most popular DAOs on Tally?"
  • "How many proposals and delegates does the Uniswap DAO have on Tally?"
  • "Which governor contracts does organization 2206072050315953936 use on Tally?"
  • "What are the voting period and quorum of the Uniswap governor on Tally?"
  • "Which recent proposals were there in organization 2206072050315953936 on Tally?"

What it does

  • list_chains: List the blockchains Tally supports with id (eip155:chain id), name, block time, testnet flag and native currency.
  • list_organizations: List DAOs (organizations) on Tally with proposal, delegate and token-holder counts. Sort by id, name, explore or popular; 20 per page at most.
  • get_organization: Get one DAO by Tally slug or id: name, chains, token and governor ids, proposal, delegate and holder counts.
  • list_governors: List the governor contracts of an organization with kind, quorum, proposal statistics and voting parameters.
  • get_governor: Get one governor contract by its CAIP-10 id or Tally slug: quorum, voting parameters, proposal statistics, token and organization.
  • list_proposals: List proposals of an organization or governor, newest first, with status, title, voting window, quorum and vote totals per choice.
  • get_proposal: Get one proposal by Tally id: full description, status, voting window, quorum, vote totals per choice, governor and organization.
  • list_delegates: List delegates of an organization or governor by voting power or delegator count, with voting power, delegator count and statement summary.
  • list_proposal_votes: List the votes cast on one proposal with voter, voting weight, choice (for, against or abstain), reason and time.
  • get_token: Get a governance token by its CAIP-19 id: type, name, symbol, supply, decimals and whether it is still being indexed.

BYOK key

You bring your own Tally Governance Tally (Cactus) API key (https://docs.tally.xyz/set-up-and-technical-documentation/welcome/how-to-use-the-tally-api/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.tally.xyz over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Read-only GraphQL queries only. Free keys are rate limited to about one request per second. Tally is now called Cactus.

Data sources

Live from the Tally Governance API (api.tally.xyz) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://apidocs.tally.xyz/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tally Governance. Tally Governance and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Tally Governance account.
