What Tella (BYOK) is for

Tella (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Tella data through the Tella API with a key you supply (Tella API key). Read-only: 9 tools (list_videos, search_videos, get_video, get_video_analytics, get_workspace_analytics, list_playlists, get_playlist, list_tags, list_video_chapters). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.tella.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tella. Tella and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What videos do I have in Tella and how many views does each have?"
  • "Find my Tella videos where I talk about pricing"
  • "How long is my Tella video and what chapters does it have?"
  • "How did my Tella video perform last week?"
  • "Which of my Tella videos got the most views this month?"
  • "What playlists do I have in Tella?"

What it does

  • list_videos: List your workspace's videos with name, description, view count, dates and share links; filter by playlist or tag IDs. Page with cursor.
  • search_videos: Search videos by words in the title or in transcript sentences; returns the video and the matching excerpts.
  • get_video: Get one video's name, description, duration, view count, dates, chapters, playlist IDs and share links.
  • get_video_analytics: Get a video's views, unique sessions, watch time, average percent viewed, views per day, countries, referrers, traffic sources and retention curve.
  • get_workspace_analytics: Get workspace-wide view analytics: totals, views per day, top videos, countries, referrers and retention; scope can be the whole workspace or only your videos.
  • list_playlists: List playlists with name, description, video count, visibility and share link; choose your own or the shared organization playlists.
  • get_playlist: Get one playlist's name, description, video count, visibility, share link and dates.
  • list_tags: List the tags available in the workspace with name, color, description and scope (workspace or private).
  • list_video_chapters: List a video's chapters with title, start time in seconds and description.

BYOK key

You bring your own Tella Tella API key (https://www.tella.com/docs/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.tella.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Tella API (api.tella.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.tella.com/docs/introduction. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tella. Tella and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Tella account.
