What Terminal Africa (BYOK) is for

Terminal Africa (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Terminal Africa data through the Terminal Africa API with a key you supply (Terminal Africa live secret key). Read-only: 9 tools (get_wallet_balance, list_carriers, list_countries, list_cities, get_default_packaging, list_packaging, list_my_rate_cards, list_rates, list_insurances). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.terminal.africa. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Terminal Africa. Terminal Africa and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How much is in my Terminal Africa wallet?"
  • "Which carriers can I use with Terminal Africa for Kenya?"
  • "Which countries does Terminal Africa ship to?"
  • "Which cities in Lagos state can I ship from with Terminal Africa?"
  • "What is the default Terminal Africa package size?"
  • "Which packaging presets have I saved in Terminal Africa?"

What it does

  • get_wallet_balance: Get the balance of your Terminal Africa shipping wallet: amount, currency and whether it is active.
  • list_carriers: List the carriers available on Terminal Africa: name, slug, carrier id, domestic, regional and international coverage, available countries and active state.
  • list_countries: List the countries Terminal Africa can ship to, with ISO code, phone code and currency.
  • list_cities: List the valid cities of a country (optionally one state) for Terminal Africa addresses, with coordinates.
  • get_default_packaging: Get the default Terminal Africa packaging (box size and weight).
  • list_packaging: List the packaging presets saved on your account: name, type, dimensions and weight.
  • list_my_rate_cards: List the carrier rate cards assigned to your account: carrier, pricing grade, service directions, currency and transit time range.
  • list_rates: List the shipping rates previously generated on your account: carrier, amount, currency, delivery estimate and insurance fee.
  • list_insurances: List the parcel insurance purchases on your account: shipment and parcel ids, insured value, premium, currency and status.

BYOK key

You bring your own Terminal Africa Terminal Africa live secret key (https://docs.terminal.africa/tship/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.terminal.africa over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Terminal Africa API (api.terminal.africa) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.terminal.africa/tship/master. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Terminal Africa. Terminal Africa and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Terminal Africa account.
