What TerraScoutX (BYOK) is for

TerraScoutX (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own TerraScoutX data through the TerraScoutX API with a key you supply (TerraScoutX API key). Read-only: 6 tools (search_properties, get_property, get_valuation_history, get_nearby_schools, get_market_context, list_coverage). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.terrascoutx.com. What it does

  • search_properties: Find US properties by street address or parcel number, best match first; each result is a full record with appraised value, tax estimate, flood zone and risk score. Owner fields are never requested.
  • get_property: Get one property's full record by id: parcel, land use, year built, areas, appraised value, tax estimate, flood zone and risk. Owner fields are never requested.
  • get_valuation_history: Get a property's market, assessed and taxable values by tax year (newest first), with land and improvement values and recorded sale figures where the county publishes them. Empty for counties without history.
  • get_nearby_schools: List public schools nearest a property, closest first, with grades, charter flag, distance in miles and the state accountability rating when one exists.
  • get_market_context: Get the latest FHFA House Price Index for the property's state with its change over the last quarter and year.
  • list_coverage: List every county and city jurisdiction the data covers, with its county_key and property count; use a county_key to narrow a search.

BYOK key

You bring your own TerraScoutX TerraScoutX API key (https://terrascoutx.com/developers/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.terrascoutx.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
