What Tiger Cloud (BYOK) is for
Tiger Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Tiger Cloud data through the Tiger Cloud API with a key you supply (Tiger Cloud API key). Read-only: 10 tools (get_auth_info, list_projects, list_services, get_service, get_service_logs, list_replica_sets, list_vpcs, list_vpc_peerings, list_metric_series, get_metric_details). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to console.cloud.tigerdata.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tiger Cloud. Tiger Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Tiger Cloud project is my API key for?"
- "What Tiger Cloud projects do I have?"
- "What Tiger Cloud databases do I have and are they running?"
- "What is the status and size of my Tiger Cloud service?"
- "Show recent errors from my Tiger Cloud database logs"
- "Do I have read replicas on my Tiger Cloud service?"
What it does
get_auth_info: Show which Tiger Cloud credential the key is: its name, creation date and the project (ID, name, plan) it is scoped to.list_projects: List the Tiger Cloud projects the key can access (a project API key sees only its own project) with ID and name.list_services: List the database services of a Tiger Cloud project with type, status, region, resources, endpoint, pooler, HA replicas and data tiering.get_service: Get one Tiger Cloud service: type, status, region, CPU and memory, endpoint, connection pooler, HA replicas, data tiering and fork origin. The password is not returned.get_service_logs: Get PostgreSQL log entries of a Tiger Cloud service (up to 500, newest first) with severity and time; page with the last_cursor value.list_replica_sets: List the read replica sets of a Tiger Cloud service with name, status, node count, CPU, memory and endpoint.list_vpcs: List the VPCs of a Tiger Cloud project with name, CIDR block, region and status.list_vpc_peerings: List the peering connections of a Tiger Cloud VPC with peer region, peer VPC, status and any error message.list_metric_series: List the names of the metric series available for a Tiger Cloud service.get_metric_details: Describe one metric series of a Tiger Cloud service: what it measures, its type, default aggregation and filter labels.
BYOK key
You bring your own Tiger Cloud Tiger Cloud API key (https://www.tigerdata.com/docs/reference/tiger-cloud-rest). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to console.cloud.tigerdata.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Notices
Formerly Timescale Cloud. Service answers leave out the initial password. This does not run SQL against your database.
