What Tiger Data (BYOK) is for
Tiger Data (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Tiger Data data through the Tiger Data API with a key you supply (Tiger Cloud API key). Read-only: 8 tools (list_projects, list_services, get_service, list_available_metric_series, get_metric_series, list_vpcs, get_vpc, list_vpc_peerings). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to console.cloud.tigerdata.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tiger Data. Tiger Data and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Tiger Cloud projects can I see?"
- "Which database services run in Tiger Cloud project rp1pz7uyae?"
- "Show Tiger Cloud service i4wmp4crev"
- "Which metrics can I chart for Tiger Cloud service i4wmp4crev?"
- "Show CPU usage of Tiger Cloud service i4wmp4crev for the last hour"
- "Which VPCs does Tiger Cloud project rp1pz7uyae have?"
What it does
list_projects: List the Tiger Cloud projects the API key can access, with id and name.list_services: List a project's database services with type, status, region, resources, endpoint host and port, HA replicas, tiering flag and current usage.get_service: Get one database service: type, status, region, CPU and memory, endpoint host, HA and read replica sets, usage metrics and fork origin.list_available_metric_series: List the names of all metric series that exist for a service, to use with get_metric_series.get_metric_series: Get time-series data points for one named metric of a service over a time window, bucketed and optionally aggregated.list_vpcs: List a project's VPCs with name, CIDR block, region and status.get_vpc: Get one VPC: name, CIDR block, region, status and the cloud provider's VPC id.list_vpc_peerings: List the peering connections of a VPC with peer account, region, VPC id, status and any error message.
BYOK key
You bring your own Tiger Data Tiger Cloud API key (https://console.cloud.tigerdata.com/dashboard/settings). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to console.cloud.tigerdata.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
